Laptop Adapter

Something funny happened to me the other day when I was out looking for a laptop adapter. My old laptop adapter had spontaneously combusted, so I needed to replace it. I didn’t think buying something simple like a laptop adapter would be such a traumatic experience, but you never know what’s going to happen.

Like that time I went fishing with my buddy, and we ended up rescuing these Russian physicists from a small island that nobody had discovered yet. That’s quite an interesting story that didn’t really end up with us catching lots of fish, but we did learn some inside secrets of how the universe operates.

So the first store I went to had some unexpected choices. Like the guy wanted to know if I wanted a laptop power adapter, or a 12v laptop adapter, or an auto laptop adapter. I’m the kind of guy who never makes a list before I go shopping, so I never really appreciate the value of planning ahead.

Once I went shopping for a jar of peanut butter, but I ended up with this big sack of lemons. To this day I have no idea how that happened. So that’s exactly why I was standing there so dumbfounded in the computer store, looking at all the different laptop adapters. I guess it was time to ask some hard questions.

First of all, I wasn’t going to be the one asking the questions. It was the sales guy who was doing this. He started asking how much I was planning on using my laptop adapter, and in what situations I was going to be putting my laptop adapter to work. I never really knew you could use laptop power adapter systems for so many different things.

Of course, I needed an auto laptop adapter for my car, so I threw one o f those in my basket. Then the guy started talking about these really complicated laptop adapter systems that you can use for an amazing range of ideas and creations.

Then I smelled the popcorn. In the back of the shop, they had this small popcorn machine pumping out huge amounts of popcorn that filled the store with amazing smells of happiness. I don’t know about you, but when I smell fresh popcorn being made, I need to spend money. And since I was buying a laptop adapter, this meant I was going to be buying a lot of laptop adapter systems.

And that’s my winding tale of the laptop adapter.
